Statement of Faith
- We Believe the Bible is the unique revelation of God's will for all people. It is the divinely inspired, infallible and Holy Word of God, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme and final authority on all matters of belief and behaviour.
- We believe in the One true and living God, the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things. He is infinite and unchangeable, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary death on the cross for our sins, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father as our Advocate and Mediator.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit, sent by the Father to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer and is our abiding Helper, Teacher, Comforter and Guide.
- We believe that God created man in His own image and likeness to walk in holiness and purity, but because of voluntary disobedience the first man Adam fell, and a sentence of death was passed upon all mankind, not only physical but spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God.
- We believe that Salvation is available to all though Jesus Christ alone, He is the Way the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father but through Him. Jesus became the sinner's substitute before God and died as a completely satisfactory sacrifice for the sin of the whole world, so we might be saved.
- We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience that is separate and distinct from salvation and is usually accompanied with the physical evidence of speaking in tongues and prophesying as the Spirit gives utterance.
- We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and it is our sacred duty to identify ourselves with a local body of believers. The local congregation gathers for worship, prayer, instruction, encouragement, mutual accountability and community with each other.
- We believe that Unity is attainable and that each believer has a responsibility to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Spiritual unity is to be expressed among Christians by acceptance and love of one another across ethnic, cultural, socio-economic, national, generational, gender and denominational lines.
- We believe the Ordinances of the New Testament Church to be:
Water Baptism – By immersion, thus illustrating the death burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and the beginning of a new way of life. - Lord's Supper – The Lord's Supper or communion is the breaking of Bread and drinking of the Cup of the Lord and is only to be shared in fellowship by those who through repentance have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the Priesthood of believers, that each person has direct access to God through faith in Jesus Christ. As priests of the Lord we are called to minister unto Him in worship, prayer and intercession continually.
- We believe that Divine Healing is an integral part of the gospel message. Healing is provided for us through the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus Christ and is a privilege and benefit of God's grace.
- We believe that Christian commitment is first to God, then to each other. As Jesus laid down His life for us, we should be willing to lay down our lives for one another. This means learning to love, forgive and serve one another by love.
- We believe that the Family is the fundamental building block of all human civilizations. Marriage is the glue that holds it together. The health of our
culture, its citizens and their children is intimately linked to the health and well being of marriage. - We believe that Human Government is established by God to promote a peaceable, productive, and godly life, as well as to share in creating conditions that are most desirable for promoting and maintaining the general well-being of all persons in society.
- We believe that God ordained the giving of Tithes and Offerings for the support and spreading of the gospel and for releasing His blessings and bringing financial prosperity and success to our lives.
- We believe in the Evangelization of the world that the supreme mission of the people of God in this age is to preach the gospel to all people everywhere.
Involvement and support for missionary service is the heart of God and the responsibility of the church. - We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ; He will come again to the earth -personally, visibly and bodily- to consummate history and the eternal plan of God. This is the "Blessed Hope" set before us, for which we should be constantly looking.
- We believe that Heaven is the eternal home of those who have faithfully followed Jesus Christ. At physical death believers enter immediately into eternal conscious fellowship with the Lord, and await the resurrection of their body to everlasting glory and blessing.
- We believe that Hell & the Lake of Fire is a real place of eternal torment for all who reject Jesus as Saviour. At physical death, unbelievers enter immediately into eternal conscious separation from the Lord and await the resurrection of their body to everlasting judgment and condemnation, at the final judgment of the great white throne.
